Mission Statement LSfLT's aim is to reduce re-offending and increase the employment opportunities of young men aged 15-17 years, who are referred to the programme, by providing a unique training and learning experience that assists them to make positive choices.
Life Skills for Life Our philosophy is based on respect for the mana of every person, respect for property and a core belief in the right of every young person to aroha (love), manaaki (care), and tautoko (support) to fulfil their potential. Our services are built around participation in forestry work and related activities, which enable young people to develop self-awareness, positive relationships, work skills and work ethics.

Empowering Youth

Transforming youth into 'leaders' who are caring, responsible, articulate and have a sense of self! We believe in the right for youth to Aroha (love), manaaki (care), and tautoko (support) to fulfill their potential.

Youth Connections

We work with young people at risk of disengaging or who have already disengaged from education, family and community to develop skills and attributes that promote wellbeing and support positive life choices.

Get Set for Work

We help youth who have disengaged from school with a transition pathway towards employment or further education. Our programme offers a real-world experience that prepares individuals for their future career path.
